When Entrepreneurship Becomes a Driver of Inclusion and Opportunity

Paris, France – June 18, 2024

On June 18, La Ruche® celebrated the graduation of the Tempo cohort at Le Transformateur Paris 20, marking

the successful completion of a nine-month entrepreneurship support program for beneficiaries of international protection and asylum seekers wishing to launch their own businesses or nonprofit organizations.

Since its launch in 2019, the Tempo program has supported 60 aspiring entrepreneurs each year across the Île-de-France region by providing mentoring, training, professional networks, and practical tools to transform ideas into sustainable ventures. More than an entrepreneurship program, Tempo has become a powerful platform for economic inclusion, empowerment, and innovation.

The closing ceremony celebrated the inspiring journeys of the participants through a series of memorable highlights.

Among the keynote speakers were Marie-Chrysole Kumba, founder of the association Femme, fais ressortir le potentiel qui dort en toi, dedicated to empowering refugee and exiled women, and Dr. Patricia Carolle Maneng's Sunday, a human rights expert and founder of GELA and PM Consulting, whose work focuses on women's rights in conflict situations, inclusive governance, and sustainable development.

Culture also played a central role throughout the evening. Guests enjoyed an inspiring dance performance, Poulo, by Coumba Deme, an arts inclusion facilitator, followed by a moving poetry performance by Abu Zubier Mohammed Mirtillah of La Fenêtre de Paris, highlighting the power of art to foster dialogue, hope, and social cohesion.

The event also featured a vibrant creators' marketplace showcasing products and services developed through the Tempo program, including handmade jewelry, natural cosmetics, fashion, gastronomy, and other entrepreneurial initiatives that reflected the creativity and diversity of the participants.

The success of the Tempo program is made possible through the commitment of public institutions, nonprofit organizations, and private-sector partners. Special appreciation was extended to The Human Safety Net, the foundation of Generali, whose continued support enables 60 new entrepreneurs to benefit from the program each year.

The evening once again demonstrated that entrepreneurship is far more than an economic activity—it is a powerful tool for inclusion, resilience, innovation, and social impact. By helping individuals transform their ambitions into sustainable projects, the Tempo program contributes to building a more inclusive, dynamic, and prosperous society.

Quand l'entrepreneuriat devient un moteur d'inclusion et d'avenir

Le jeudi 18 juin, La Ruche® a célébré la clôture de la promotion Tempo dans les locaux du Transformateur Paris 20, marquant l'aboutissement de neuf mois d'accompagnement pour des bénéficiaires de la protection internationale et des demandeurs d'asile souhaitant créer leur entreprise ou leur association.

Depuis son lancement en 2019, le programme Tempo accompagne chaque année 60 entrepreneurs en Île-de-France en leur offrant les outils, les compétences et le réseau nécessaires pour transformer leurs idées en projets durables. Plus qu'un programme d'accompagnement, Tempo constitue un véritable levier d'inclusion économique, d'autonomie et d'innovation.

La cérémonie de clôture a mis à l'honneur les parcours inspirants des participants et a été rythmée par plusieurs temps forts.

Parmi eux, les témoignages de Marie-Chrysole Kumba, fondatrice de l'association Femme, fais ressortir le potentiel qui dort en toi, engagée auprès des femmes exilées, et de la Dr Patricia Carolle Maneng's Sunday, experte en droits humains et fondatrice de GELA et de PM Consulting, qui œuvre pour les droits des femmes en situation de conflit, la gouvernance inclusive et le développement durable.

La culture a également occupé une place centrale lors de cette soirée grâce à la performance de danse Poulo présentée par Coumba Deme, médiatrice pour l'inclusion par l'art, ainsi qu'à une prestation de poésie engagée d'Abu Zubier Mohammed Mirtillah, représentant de La Fenêtre de Paris, illustrant le pouvoir de l'art comme vecteur de dialogue, d'espoir et de cohésion sociale.

Les invités ont également découvert un marché des créateurs mettant en valeur les projets développés dans le cadre du programme : bijoux artisanaux, cosmétiques naturels, créations de mode, gastronomie et autres initiatives entrepreneuriales témoignant de la richesse et de la diversité des talents accompagnés.

La réussite du programme Tempo repose sur l'engagement de nombreux partenaires institutionnels, associatifs et privés. Un remerciement particulier est adressé à The Human Safety Net, fondation de Generali, dont le soutien permet d'accompagner chaque année une nouvelle promotion de 60 entrepreneurs.

Cette soirée a démontré une nouvelle fois que l'entrepreneuriat constitue un formidable moteur d'intégration, d'innovation et de développement social. En donnant à chacun les moyens de concrétiser son potentiel, le programme Tempo contribue à bâtir une société plus inclusive, plus dynamique et plus solidaire.
